A+ Tutoring Opportunities.
1. Mid-Buchanan students may earn their A+ tutoring hours in several ways. Students that participate in extra-curricular activities such as flags, cheerleading, football, basketball etc. and help with mini clinics for younger students may log those hours for tutoring purposes.
2. Students may also help students during study hall and count that time for tutoring.
3. Students may help before or after school ATHENA students. Students may play games with the children or help them with their homework.
4. Summer School. Students may help during summer school and earn tutoring hours.
5. PTO activities and events. The PTO has several activities they hold throughout the school year. You may sign up and help with any of those activities to earn tutoring hours.
6. Health fair, Fun day etc. There are several days throughout the year that the school nurse, elementary PE teacher, ag classes or child development students may be working with others. These are great opportunities to earn tutoring hours for A+ Schools Program.
Just make sure to get the activity approved with the A+ Schools Coordinator. Get a tutoring sheet from the website or Mrs. Pierce. Log your hours and have the appropriate person sign your sheet. If there is an activity not listed and you would like to log it for A+ tutoring hours, please see Mrs. Pierce.
